תימור שוורץ־מילר היא חוקרת, יזמת חברתית ויוצרת רב־תחומית, הפועלת בצומת שבין פסיכולוגיה חברתית, חינוך, טיפול ותקשורת דיגיטלית. עבודתה מתמקדת בהתנהגות חברתית, מגע בין־קבוצתי ותחושת שייכות בסביבות דיגיטליות ואימרסיביות, בדגש על מציאות מדומה חברתית (Social Virtual Reality).

כיום תימור עורכת מחקר לדוקטורט בחוג לתקשורת באוניברסיטת אריאל, העוסק בהתנהגות חברתית במציאות מדומה חברתית, ואשר זכה בפרס מחקר. מחקרה משלב תיאוריות מהפסיכולוגיה החברתית עם פרספקטיבות חינוכיות וטיפוליות, תוך שימוש בשיטות מחקר משולבות, כמותיות ואיכותניות.

לתימור רקע אקדמי ומקצועי בין־תחומי. היא בעלת תואר ראשון בחינוך מיוחד ואמנות מטעם המדרשה לאמנות ומכללת בית ברל, ותואר שני בהצטיינות בטכנולוגיות תקשורת בהוראה מאוניברסיטת בר־אילן. במסגרת לימודיה לתואר השני זכתה בפרס על מחקר מצטיין בנושא חשיבה ומציאות מדומה בחינוך, מטעם הקרן ע"ש פנינה וזאב ברנובסקי, בחוג לייעוץ והתפתחות האדם באוניברסיטת חיפה. בנוסף, היא בוגרת התוכנית להכשרת מטפלים קוגניטיביים־התנהגותיים (CBT) באישור איט"ה.

במקביל לפעילותה המחקרית, תימור עוסקת בהוראת אמנות בחינוך הרגיל והמיוחד, ומשמשת כמנחה ארצית למובילי קהילות אמנות חזותית בחינוך המיוחד מטעם מכללת ספיר, במסגרת תוכנית קהיל"א.

מאז שנת 2019 תימור מובילה יוזמה חינוכית־חברתית חדשנית, אשר זכתה לתמיכת הקרן לעידוד יוזמות חינוכיות, התקבלה לאגף מו"פ, ניסויים ויוזמות של משרד החינוך, השתתפה בתוכנית מנבטה ליזמות חברתית במכללת בית ברל, ונבחרה לתוכנית WE19 של הבית לסולידריות חברתית. התוכנית שפיתחה אושרה למאגר התוכניות והמענים של משרד החינוך, והיא זמינה לרכישה עבור מוסדות חינוך דרך מערכת גפ"ן.

לצידה של תימור פועל צוות רב־מקצועי הכולל מורות ומורים, מטפלות ומטפלים רגשיים, ומומחים בתחומי האמנויות, בעלי ניסיון בעבודה חינוכית וטיפולית עם תלמידים ותלמידות עם צרכים מיוחדים. עשייתה משלבת מחקר, פיתוח ויישום, ומכוונת ליצירת מרחבים דיגיטליים־אימרסיביים המקדמים חוסן רגשי, שייכות חברתית ומפגש בין־קבוצתי משמעותי.

Timor Schwartz-Miler is a researcher, social entrepreneur, and multidisciplinary creator working at the intersection of social psychology, education, therapy, and digital communication. Her work focuses on social behavior, intergroup contact, and experiences of belonging in digital and immersive environments, with a particular emphasis on Social Virtual Reality.

She is currently a PhD researcher in the Department of Communication at Ariel University, where her doctoral research examines social behavior in social virtual reality environments and has received a research award. Her work integrates theories from social psychology with educational and therapeutic perspectives, employing mixed-methods research approaches, both quantitative and qualitative.

Timor has an interdisciplinary academic and professional background. She holds a BA in Special Education and Art from the Midrasha School of Art and Beit Berl College, and an MA (with distinction) in Educational Communication Technologies from Bar-Ilan University. During her master’s studies, she received an award for outstanding research on thinking and virtual reality in education, granted by the Penina and Ze’ev Barnovsky Foundation at the Department of Counseling and Human Development, University of Haifa. She is also a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) practitioner, trained under a program approved by the Israeli Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (IABCT).

Alongside her academic work, Timor teaches art in both mainstream and special education settings and serves as a national facilitator for leaders of visual arts Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in special education, on behalf of Sapir Academic College, as part of the KEHILA Program, in collaboration with the MOFET Institute.

Since 2019, Timor has led an innovative educational and social initiative that has received support from the Foundation for the Advancement of Educational Initiatives, was accepted into the Ministry of Education’s R&D, Pilots, and Innovation Division, participated in a social entrepreneurship incubator at Beit Berl College, and was selected for the WE19 program of the House for Social Solidarity. The program she developed has been approved for the Ministry of Education’s national repository of programs and services and is available to educational institutions through the GEFEN system.

Timor works alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, emotional therapists, and arts specialists with experience in educational and therapeutic work with students with special needs. Her work integrates research, development, and implementation, and is aimed at creating immersive digital environments that promote emotional resilience, social belonging, and meaningful intergroup encounters.
